Norwegian Forest Small Pendant

Shade diameter 32cm, height 32cm. Norwegian Forest lights draw on a classic Scandinavian tradition of using thin wood veneer strips for lighting. Norwegian Forest lights show a pine forest with animals in light and shade. When lit, the blonde veneer shines with a warm glow, and the light filters out between the treetops. The shade is made of custom made, 1st grade veneers. The veneer has been through a flexing process to became bendable, then coated with a clear solvent free coating. The veneer is carefully laser cut by skilled craftsmen in Småland, Sweden. The simple shape of the shade and the structure of the wood is challenged by the intricate pattern cut into it. The shade is hand sewn onto the white steel frame using natural leather lace. The lamps is available through the Norwegian lighting company Northern Lighting
